- Plan and prepare to support the drilling process
- Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
- Access, interpret and apply documentation required to support drilling processes and confirm work activity is compliant
- Identify and minimise environmental issues and potential hazards, and assess and address risks within scope of own role and according to workplace procedures
- Select and wear personal protective equipment required for work activities
- Obtain and interpret emergency procedures and identify steps required in case of fire, accident and other emergencies
- Communicate with other personnel on site as required and confirm briefings and handover details are communicated and received as required
- Prepare, operate and dismantle ancillary equipment
- Clean all equipment at drilling site
- Maintain clean working conditions according to workplace procedures and safety requirements
- Clean and store vehicles routinely after use according to operational and safety requirements
- Clean machines and equipment to schedule according to safety requirements
- Confirm all cleaning equipment is kept in good working condition
- Maintain levels of supplies
- Perform and report on basic measurement and calculations
- Carry out basic operator maintenance
- Identify hazards and methods of minimising hazards when conducting maintenance in the field
- Carry out minor repairs and replacements as required
- Maintain and service machines and equipment to schedule
- Overcome minor breakdowns and bogging using recovery techniques as required
- Carry out housekeeping to workplace requirements
